Sky Ridge Medical Center & The Medical Center of Aurora: HealthONE Transitional Year Residency Program
Welcome, and thank you for your interest in the Rocky Vista University Transitional Year Residency Program sponsored by HealthONE Sky Ridge Medical Center. Our program provides residents with a valuable introduction to clinical medicine in a variety of disciplines in both ambulatory and inpatient settings. As Program Director, I look forward to meeting you and sharing more of what our program has to offer.
By limiting the number of interns accepted into our program each academic year to 8, we are able to provide an outstanding learning environment while customizing the curriculum to meet the needs of each participant. This design provides a solid foundation for subsequent residencies in other specialties.
The Transitional Year curriculum is tailored to meet all ACGME requirements for PGY-2 advancement in areas such as Anesthesiology, Radiology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Radiation Oncology, and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation while providing broad exposure to a variety of medical and surgical subspecialties. We have worked hard to develop a diverse didactic curriculum drawing upon evidence-based medicine, case reports, journal clubs, and board review topics.
We appreciate your interest in our Transitional Year program and look forward to welcoming you to Sky Ridge Medical Center and The Medical Center of Aurora.
Shakib Hassan, MD
